Nine Things I'm Pondering...

1.  So Osama bin Laden is dead.  I'm not sure what emotion is called for.  Of course his death is a good thing for the fight against terrorism.  But jubilation (or "jubulation" as several newscasters insist on calling it)?  More like winning a battle, as the war continues.  Talk about waiting for the other shoe to drop.

2.  Vacaville must be one of the most relaxed cities around.  We have approximately 18 places to go to get a massage (more places than to get a pizza!).  Then again, maybe we are a very tense city.  But 18?  Even after the prostitution stings in the last year or two, no one seems to look askance at a massage business that is open until 10:00 at night.  Maybe it's just me, but that seems a bit odd....

3.  Why is being a Republican now synonymous with being a fundamentalist Christian?  That annoys me intensely.

4.  So why didn't Obama show his birth certificate in 2008?

5.  Seriously?  Donald Trump (although, see #4 above)?  And seriously?  Mike Huckabee (see #3 above)?

6.  When are tubby middle-aged women (of which I am one, so I'm not being snotty) going to stop wearing low-rise pants?

7.  Just because you have a headache doesn't mean you have a migraine.  If your head hurts so much that you throw up and can't open your eyes because even dim light's too bright (and there is no tequila involved), then you have a migraine.

8.  I loved watching the Royal Wedding.  It was fun, pretty, light-hearted, etc.  Kate Middleton is lovely, and I really don't think she'll get eaten alive, like Prince William's mother Diana did.

9.  Why is the writing on tubes and pots of anti-aging treatments so tiny?  Who do they think is reading said tubes and pots?
